This course provides the specialist technical knowledge needed to serve on oil tankers and be assigned specific duties relating to cargo handling and cargo equipment. The course is designed to meet the specialised training requirements for personnel on certain types of ship under Chapter V of STCW Convention and Code 1978, as amended by the 2010 Manila amendments.
This course comprises eLearning modules with a final onscreen assessment and a
workbook containing questions/assignments. You must achieve 95% completion in all eLearning and score 75% or higher in all assessments and workbook assignments. Our course Documentation List refers.
Guided learning hours: 34-40hrs.
This course is approved by the UK Maritime & Coastguard Agency, the Norwegian Maritime Authority, the Marshall Islands Registry and Liberian Ship Registry. On completion of this course you will receive a Certificate of Training (on behalf of MCA or Marshall Islands and Liberia) or a Documentary Evidence (on behalf of NMA).
