The aim of this module is to provide the learner with the knowledge to be able to apply the IMDG code when handling dangerous goods. The module is structured around the requirements of US regulation 49 CFR172.704 HAZMAT training, i.e. general awareness of dangerous goods, use of the IMDG code in relation to functions onboard and general dangerous goods safety (including emergency response to incidents). On successful completion of the module, the learner will be able to print out a diploma, as evidence of the required HAZMAT training.

  • Identify the safety protection requirements needed to prevent exposure to the hazards presented by dangerous goods.
